AMS 2021, the most focused conference on business intelligence for the additive manufacturing industry, is back for its fourth year. It is an online event and we will be adding times of discussion on software and automation for additive manufacturing and time of discussion on bioprinting to our usual coverage: metals/new materials and medical/dental. As always, our objective for the AMS is that participants will come away highly knowledgeable on the very latest trends in additive manufacturing and full of innovative ideas that they can take back to their organizations.
AMS 2021 offers 40+ expert speakers in an online environment optimized for attendees and speakers to exchange experiences and conduct business. AMS live events have always been noted as an extraordinary business networking experience and we plan that this will also be the same in our online version.
Each day opens with a presentation by a SmarTech analyst of our forecasts of the topics of the day. SmarTech is the most highly regarded market forecast firm in the AM space and maintains a constantly updated database of ten-year AM forecasts covering printers, materials, and services with highly granular breakouts in each sector.
AMS 2021 hosts an online Exhibition Hall where attendees will be able to see the latest 3D printing products for metals, medical and dental, and biomaterials as well as the emerging automation products and software developments. As always throughout AMS, attendees will learn the most effective procedures and business opportunities in the critical sectors of additive materials on which AMS 2021 is focused. DAY ONE MORNING: February 9
METALS AND NEW MATERIALS
Day One morning of AMS 2021will be 3D printing of metals and other “strong materials.” We will also be looking at how compact metals printers have evolved since the 2019 AMS, as well as user cases from the aerospace, automotive, oil & gas and other industry sectors.
DAY ONE AFTERNOON: February 9
AUTOMATION, RAPID MANUFACTURING AND SOFTWARE
We will focus on how a new generation of AM will become part of the factory-of-the-future boosting throughput, controlling quality, reducing cost and speeding time to market. We will also hear how AM is transforming from being a batch process to a continuous process better fit for a volume production setting.
DAY TWO MORNING: February 10
MEDICAL-DENTAL
Since our previous AMS event, the COVID-19 pandemic has dominated the headlines and 3D printing has played an important role in ameliorating it. Attendees will hear about what happened and what it means for additive manufacturing as a whole. Also featured will be panels on the latest trends on using 3D printing in the medical and dental space more generally, with an update on how 3D printing is disrupting supply chains and transforming procedures at hospitals, labs, medical and dental offices.
DAY TWO AFTERNOON: February 10
BIOPRINTING
The conference will conclude with discussions about the growing opportunities in bioprinting, which has taken giant steps forward since our previous AMS. We will examine the latest trends in both bioprinters and printable biomaterials including coverage of novel materials just hitting the market and the emergence of desktop bioprinters. Also the afternoon provides coverage of the latest bioprinting applications including what the possibilities for vascularization offer.
