Tritone launches a mid-range metal 3D printing platform, powered by its patented Moldjet® technology

Two years after their first appearance at formnext, Israël-based machine manufacturer Tritone returns to Frankfurt with a new solution designed for the metal additive manufacturing industry. The company became known with DOMINANT, a provocative name for a machine that can meet the stringent requirements of demanding industries.

During the past two years, the company has made significant steps to position its manufacturing solution on the European market, especially in Germany. We witnessed for instance, the installation of a beta system at Runout or a partnership with alphacam.

The company’s new solution is a mid-range metal AM platform called Tritone® DIM. Based on the manufacturer’s patented Moldjet® technology, DIM can be used by consumer goods and consumer electronics manufacturers, service bureaus, R&D and educational departments to create end-use metal 3D printed parts.

From prototyping to industrial production, the Moldjet® technology gives operators the freedom to use a powder-free, wide variety of metal and ceramic parts with fine details and high surface quality.

Key advantages of the Moldjet® technology includes reduced lead time by up to 80%, no geometric constrains, reduced number of parts needed, and the ability to produce repeatable on-demand end-use parts, eliminating the need to keep big inventories – all in the high demanding industrial standards, Tritone explains in a press release.

“After the initial success of our DOMINANT system we are proud to expand our market reach with the DIM system. The market is ready to shift gear from prototyping to production of high-quality metal parts, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this emerging revolution”, says Omer Sagi, VP Products and Business Development at Tritone.
